Questions for conversations....

I will be writing this week on stress, peace, and anxiety.... Here are some questions for you to think on...

1.  As a woman, what are some of the biggest stress factors that you face daily and weekly?

2.  What do you do daily to rest, come away and take a break from the stress?

Mathew 11:28-30,  Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Qualified!

Qualified to Be Free!

Qualified? Are you qualified? In this day, you hear the word qualify many times and in various circumstances. Large companies want qualified people, and colleges want those that qualify for acceptance and scholarships. Real estate agents question potential clients quickly with “Are you prequalified?” I know in talking to many women, I have found that as a whole we will try to qualify ourselves. We question our abilities and talents wondering, am I really qualified to do this? Sometimes a woman will question whether she is qualified to serve God. Our world today sends us the message that if you don’t qualify, then it is not going to happen. It is sort of a "Qualify or Else Theory". Thank God that He has no prequalification! No matter who or what walk of life you come from, all you have to do is confess your sins, ask forgiveness, and accept Him as your Savior. No paperwork! You qualify! Praise God!

You have been qualified by Christ to share in the inheritance with God’s holy people. You have an inheritance because of the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. God considers His children special, and you are a child of God. You are His princess! I want you to see the future that you have because you are in Christ. You are no longer who you used to be, and it is time to move forward in Christ. Hold your head up, smile big, and call yourself a precious child of God! It is vital to your self-esteem healing that you see how precious you are to God and the inheritance you have because of Christ. A princess walks with strength and dignity, God is calling you to do walk with God confidence. To begin to see yourself differently, you must look at the change that took place when you gave your life to Christ. When you received Christ into your life, you received so much more than just your salvation. You received His love, His healing, His restoration, His victory, His forgiveness, His compassion, and so much more. Often we fail to realize the magnitude of the gift in our salvation. You accepted Christ as your Savior; now accept Him as your Healer. Let Him walk you into all that He has for you through Christ. He freely qualified you; now walk into your rightful place as a Princess of God!

Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. Colossians 1:12, NIV

Desperate for love...

Desperate me? No way!! We like to think that none of us are desperate for anything. Desperate is the overwhelming state of urgency at the point of losing hope. Truth is that is exactly where we are - the point of losing hope! Without hope we are desperate.
We live in a culture where Desperate Housewives is a popular TV show among our children, gangs are on the rise and violence is everywhere. Are we desperate? YES and YES and again. But, do we truly know what it is that we are desperate for? Sad to say, many of us are searching for the missing pieces of life and trying to fill it in all the wrong ways. We are functioning in a desperate state all the while missing the real answer for our life. Have you ever sat down to do a puzzle hoping to relax and get to see the puzzle complete, only to find their are missing pieces? The missing pieces are frustrating. Now, compare that to your life. So, we live in a desperate search to find the missing piece, but what is the missing piece?
The missing piece we so desperately search for is LOVE. There are many others, but this one is the key to them all. We are created to love and to be loved and when any part of that is lacking or completely missing we are desperate for that love. We can search the whole world over trying to find it and fill the empty pieces of our life with many things. Mostly, we humans look for love in all the wrong places.
Where do we start to find the love that we are missing? We start with God our Creator. God is love and in Him He can complete every area of our life. He can fill in the missing pieces. God loved us so much that he saw our desperation and sent His son, Jesus to the rescue. That is a tremendous love that we need to wrap our brain around. He loved, He cared, He acted, He saved by sending a heroic Jesus to be our sacrifice. He saw our desperation! However, we have to receive that great love and grasp hold to it. The love of God is the missing piece to the puzzle called life! Stop the search and accept the LOVE. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the son of God, God lives in him, and he is in God. And so we know and rely on the love that God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in Him. 1 John 4: 15-16.

So, think on the desperation of love we so need in our culture, or how about in your life personally?   Take into consideration the missing piece of what we all need and that is love.

I will be writing more on this subject in the days to come.  I would love to hear your comments.

Sweet blessings to you all,
Lesia

BE intentional!

Be intentional about everything that you do in life.  Intentional has been my new word that God has challenged me with for this season.  God was very intentional when He sent us His son, Jesus. I think we need to practice the example He has set before us.  Jesus was extremely intentional about going to the cross. He came for that purpose and had every intention in fulfilling his destiny regardless of the pain, or wounds he would encounter.
As a children of God, we are called to be intentional and live life on purpose the same as Jesus did for us.  If we can live our life patterned after Jesus Christ we can make a difference in our daily life.  We can even make a difference in the world we live in.  We must not sit back waiting on something to happen or the call to come in.  It is time that we live intentional with all of our actions.

We have a choice everyday on what we talk about, and think about.  We have choices in our actions and character as we live before others. We must be challenged to be more intentional about what God has purposed in our heart.  If we will all be intentional  about what God has purposed us to be then life will be better.  We can also be intentional about reaching our world with an intentional love that can only come from Jesus Christ.

Will you be intentional today?  Start with something small and do it on purpose!  Blessings to you as you start to live an intentional life like Jesus Christ. Be intentional and be the best you God calls you to be.

Sweet blessings,
Lesia
